Hello, my name is Billie.

I am a PhD candidate at Stanford University, where my thesis focuses on the evolution of neural circuits driving parent-offspring communication. Broadly, I study the evolution of prosocial behavior across vertebrates. My research interests focus on how we can harness well-established and emerging model organisms to understand how neural circuits (peripheral and central) adaptively respond and even evolve to succeed across environments.
